Vacancy: Native speaker of English, 1st or 2nd grade teaching qualification
School: Carmelcollege Emmen, location Emmen, the Netherlands
Starting: available as from today
Appointment: Part time (0,5 fte)
Salary: scale LB, maximum 3.739 euro with a full time job (2nd grade) or scale LC, maximum 4.361 euro with a full time job (1st grade)
Extra's:  End of year 'bonus' (13th month), 8% vacation 'bonus' (payable in May), excellent pension arrangement, BAPO, travel allowance, discount for medical insurance.

Your qualities

You will be teaching in the upper school of Havo and Vwo. Some of the lessons will also be in the lower school of our TTO, bilingual department
TTO is part of the Havo/VWO department. Our bilingual students have their own rooms and work space. Together with your team you will develop and implement new ideas in order to continue to make our TTO department strong and innovative.
Furthermore you enjoy participating in and organising our TTO activities, such as excursions abroad.
Your profile
You are a native or near-native speaker of English with a first or second grade teaching qualification. You have some years teaching experience. Preferably you have a qualification to teach English, but we also invite native speakers with other subject qualifications to apply.
You have natural authority and you are able to motivate and stimulate children of all abilities.
As a colleague you are a team player, co-operative, open to ideas, flexible and creative.
You have a forceful personality, with plenty of original ideas. Besides that you have the efficacy to become a pillar in our TTO department.
About TTO 
TTO is short for 'tweetalig onderwijs', or bilingual education. TTO is the Dutch form of Content and Language Integrated Learning - an educational approach in which non-language subjects such as history or biology are taught through another language than the mother tongue.
About Carmelcollege Emmen
Carmelcollege Emmen is a broad secondary school with VMBO, Mavo, Havo and Athenuem departments. Apart from that the school offers TTO (bilingual education) in Havo and Atheneum, facilitates Top Sports pupils and offers special sportsclasses in the first and second year.
At present we have over a 1000 students and 120 staff.
Custom-made education is one of our most important features. This implies that group teaching is no longer essential. Our school building has been adapted accordingly.
Carmelcollege Emmen is a very attractive school, with a warm and amicable atmosphere.
New teachers can rely on coaching. And of course there is plenty of room for new and innovating ideas.
